What do you think is a harder movie to write — a drama or a comedy? I said drama. I don’t mean a drama like “Die Hard” or “Outbreak.” I mean something dense like “Seven Years in Tibet” or “The Last Samurai.” Something that’s hard to watch, I imagine is impossible to write. How would you even go about doing something like that? How do you go about starting such an intense endeavor. I just don’t get it. “All right, Page 1: A horse rides across an Irish backdrop. The queen looks concerned. Queen: Hello.” and so on for over 150 pages.
